Ok so i know this has been discussed alot already and that pt3 should be getting a mac version or w/e in summer ish time. But for now, i was just wondering wat all u guys do while playing on a mac. Currently, i have xp on bootcamp, so i could essentially go on there and play and use xp just for playing poker, which was my plan in the first place. But i am still trying to figure out different ideas to use pt. I could save hands from macbook to the xp drive and then import and stuff when im done playing, but i wouldnt have any PAHUD stats while im playing. Soo, im just throwing this out there to see wat other people do if they play on a mac. O, and ive alo tried the crossover thing and it doesnt seem to work altho im not a pro at it.[/quotes2p]
What I have been doing for the last year or so is run PT2 & PAHUD under Parallels. I find that realtime PAHUD stats are very useful, so importing hands after my session has finished doesn't suit me.
That is, until yesterday when I installed VMware Fusion/Boot Camp/Vista/PT3. The advantage of running under Boot Camp is that you can use multiple monitors in a much more elegant way. The advantage of using VMware Fusion instead of Parallels is that it can boot your Boot Camp partition while you are running under Mac OS (I think Parallels may have also been updated recently to include this feature).
If performance is an issue, particularly if you don't have much RAM in your mac, I recommend Boot Camp.[/quotes2p]
hey thanks for the input. im pretty new to a mac so im not too sure on how any of this works or how im supposed to get it working. If u can email me i could email my questions or we cold talk on msn. It would be really great if u could get ahold of me to help me set it up. msn
